Hi. My name's Stephanie Sherlock. I'm doing a review for Cancun Dental Specialists. I just got my veneers done. I got six on the top, six on the bottom. I'm from Canada. I traveled here with my family a lot, to a resort while I got my work done. Before booking here, I had researched a whole bunch of different places. I was quite nervous about getting work overseas. But after coming here, I will tell you my experience has been amazing. I was quite nervous but everyone here has been so amazing. The whole process was very smooth. The thing I liked most is how much of a perfectionist all the dentists here are. As hard as... I mean, my experience is a little bit longer but it made me more relieved to know that they really cared about the outcome of what makes you look like and sound like. I'm going to be recommending this place to all my friends and family. I absolutely love it here. Everyone is over the moon with kindness. Very accommodating. And they made the whole process from booking here to leaving here really smooth and I couldn't say enough good things about it. So I hope you listen to this review and book here and it could relieve some of your nerves because I wish I had that before coming here. I've been here to Ocean Dental several times. I recommend it to my friends. They do a very good job. I just had three crowns put in. The office was brand new two years ago. Better equipment than lots of places I've been to back in the States. Everybody is very friendly. It's highly recommended by me. I had a wonderful dentist back in Vermont for 30 years and these people are just as good. I'm very satisfied with it. I recommend it to people who stay at the hotel. I've met lots of people who come down just for their dental work, and a little vacation. I'm here for the whole winter though, so I've got time.

- [Stephanie] Yeah, lovely to meet you. Well, my name's Stephanie, I'm from England, UK. I come here to have a full set of veneers. So, I was unhappy with the shade of my teeth, and the shape wasn't exactly how I wanted it, so I had the whole mouth re-done. So I'm here at Cancun Dental, they've been absolutely fantastic. The hospitality's great, Maggie's great, Dr. Irma. It's very…they take care of you as an individual. I mean it's a very busy place. There's a lot of people that come here and they get fantastic results. I read the reviews, they live up to their expectations. If you are not happy with what they got for you the first time, they're more than happy to change it for you. I actually was given a little bit smaller teeth, and I asked for bigger teeth, they done it straight away without any complications. They accommodate you exactly how you need to be met. There's no wait time. You don't have to wait around all the time. They do a shuttle service as well, which can be fantastic. So I'm staying in Riviera Maya, which is a little bit further away, about 25 minutes. They pick you up, and take you  as when you're needed without any charge. And yeah, they're absolutely phenomenal. I'm really happy with my results. Today is my last day, I'm sad to leave the team, they've been fantastic. But, a lot of my friends are going to ask me about the place, and I would highly recommend it. Dr. Irma is the lady that I was with. I can see that every person that comes here is pretty much happy, and I've met a few people here that come back for years. You know they won't go anywhere else, and 100% trust them with my face, my teeth with absolutely everything, they've been phenomenal.

We had lots of issues with dental in our home, and I've had big problems with my teeth, so we needed that solution. And we couldn't afford to do it at home. We run our own business, so we talked to my brother-in-law, who came to Cancun here and had some dental work done at Cancun Dental Specialists, and we thought we'd try it out. I'd been to a different place before and had bad results, but when I come here, I had really good results. The dental work...I don't mknow if I've ever had dental work done as good as I have here. I still got to come back in the fall to have more dental work done. We came back in the fall, last fall, and I had all of my top teeth crowned. And they even finished a couple of implants that I had started somewhere else. They were able to do that, which was really awesome And we came back, it was four months later, and I had some partials done and I had another crown put on my bottom. And we're going to come back probably after the harvest in the fall here again to have some implants put in the bottom, and then we can come back six months after that. It's just another holiday for us to come back. It still is way more affordable to come down here and have our dental work done. And it's wonderful people. We're relaxed, and it's just a good time. Just, I really recommend coming and having dental work done here.

Many Canadians who have never been to Mexico still perceive it as a third would country with lots of crime, keeping them from even considering this country. In fact Mexico is a modern country, with a friendly and welcoming population with strong ties to its history, be it Maya or Aztec or its colonial heritage. You will not encounter crime unless you get involved with the wrong things yourself. Not having any dental insurance, I found the cost of treatment in Canada unaffordable. Then I discovered Ocean Dental in Cancun. I am their patient for awhile now and have the impression of that the welfare of their patients is more important than profit. It begins arriving at the airport where you will have a voucher for free shared transportation to either the clinic or your hotel. You will find a modern facility with the latest equipment, staffed by competent dentists, supervised by Dr. Irma Gavaldon. Treatment starts with a panoramic x-Ray and special pictures of the areas of concern, followed by an examination. You then have a discussion with a coordinator about the course of treatment and the cost. The cost of the treatment is calculated from a chart of all inclusive fees for different treatments. A root canal is so much, a crown so much, with no extra charges for x-rays or lab fees etc. These set fees are much cheaper than what you would pay at home with the same quality of care. Fees are in US$ but Canadian clients enjoy a very favourable exchange rate. Since most of us only come to Cancun for a week, every effort is made to be able to fit the treatments into the available time period. You are taken to your hotel after treatment and picked up at the hotel for you next appointment. Curtesy of the clinic. As to the treatment, I always felt them professional with emphasis on my satisfaction. On one occasion I was told by my local dentist that a molar could not be saved and the replacing implant would cost $5000.- I went to Ocean Dental for an implant at a more reasonable price. Instead they saved the tooth with a less expensive and less difficult root canal, while they could have made more by doing the implant. I never had the feeling that unneeded work was performed or that I was overcharged. It should be mentioned that Ocean Dental and Cancun Dental Specialists are the same. As patient you almost become part of the "family". They will do everything for you to leave happy and satisfied with the work, at an affordable cost.
